Course description
The AI Engineer Programme is an eight-week evening course that provides you with practical and industry-relevant skills in artificial intelligence. Across roughly forty hours of live instruction, you will learn how modern AI and large language models work, including tokenisation, embeddings, vector databases, model architectures, fine-tuning basics, and essential safety principles.
You will develop strong prompt engineering skills, create reusable prompt frameworks, and apply advanced techniques for agents and multi-step workflows. You will also receive an introduction to parameter-efficient fine-tuning, data preparation, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) to build document-based AI tools.
Throughout the course, you will work hands-on with APIs from OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google Gemini, and learn how to reliably integrate AI into real applications. You will also build AI agents and automations using LangChain, n8n, and Flow.
A particular highlight is that every participant receives ten hours of personalised 1:1 mentorship, along with exclusive insights from industry guest speakers.
Requirements & Completion
To participate in the course, you should have basic digital skills and be confident working with a computer. Initial experience with programming or technical tools is helpful, but not required. Curiosity, willingness to learn, analytical thinking, and an interest in applying AI to practical use cases are far more important. If you have already worked with APIs, simple scripts, or workflow tools, you will progress even faster, but the course is intentionally designed so that motivated beginners can follow along well.
By the end of the course, you will have developed several fully functional AI agents or automations. You can later present these to potential employers, clients, or investors. After successfully completing the programme, you will receive a CodeFactory Vienna Certificate of Completion, officially confirming your newly acquired skills.
