This 11-week course provides you with a solid understanding of software testing according to international standards. You will learn how to identify errors early, ensure software quality, and efficiently support development processes. The course follows the official ISTQB syllabus and specifically prepares you for the optional Software Tester (Foundation Level) certification.

 

Software testers play a central role in modern development processes: They ensure that applications are reliable, secure, and user-friendly. In this course, you will learn how to plan test strategies, create test cases, automate tests, and professionally document results.

You will work practically with typical testing tools and methods, gain insight into test management, test design techniques and error analysis, and understand how testers work effectively with developers, project managers and customers.

Course description

This online course prepares you for a career as a software tester. In the first two weeks, you'll receive an introduction to programming using Python and then dive into the world of software testing.

 

This course has a practical focus. You'll receive theoretical input and then work on examples where you can apply your newly acquired knowledge. Trainers will guide you throughout the day and are always available to offer advice and support.

Requirements & Completion

This course requires motivation, personal responsibility, and a willingness to learn. You need sufficient English language skills (a B1 level is recommended) to follow the content. Unsure if this course is right for you? Feel free to contact us – we'd be happy to advise you personally.

 

Throughout the course, you must complete your assignments and modules to successfully complete the entire course. Your final project incorporates all the content you have learned. Upon completion, you will receive comprehensive preparation materials and a voucher from our partner organization to take the ISTQB® Certified Tester Foundation Level 4.0 (CTFL) exam. This voucher allows for one attempt and is valid for a maximum of one year from the date of issue. We strongly recommend taking the exam as soon as possible. The exam can be taken in German or English and is conducted online.

 

Regardless of when you want to take the ISTQB certification, you will receive a Software Testing Certificate from CodeFactory upon successful completion of the course.
