This 12-week course provides you with a solid understanding of software testing according to international standards. You will learn how to identify errors early, ensure software quality, and efficiently support development processes. The course follows the official ISTQB syllabus and specifically prepares you for the optional Software Tester (Foundation Level) certification.
Software testers play a central role in modern development processes: They ensure that applications are reliable, secure, and user-friendly. In this course, you will learn how to plan test strategies, create test cases, automate tests, and professionally document results.
You will work practically with typical testing tools and methods, gain insight into test management, test design techniques and error analysis, and understand how testers work effectively with developers, project managers and customers.

Course description
This course is offered in cooperation with an international ISTQB-certified institute. Your trainers will therefore be available online during the live sessions. Administrative support will be provided by the staff at the CodeFactory. The first two weeks will introduce you to programming with Python, after which you will delve into the world of software testing. If you require a physical learning environment, or if your funding partner requires in-person attendance, you are welcome to attend the training at the CodeFactory premises.
This course has a practical focus. You'll receive theoretical input and then work on examples where you can apply your newly acquired knowledge. Trainers will guide you throughout the day and are always available to offer advice and support.
Requirements & Completion
This course requires motivation, personal responsibility, and a willingness to learn. You need sufficient knowledge of English (a B1 level is recommended) to follow the content.
Throughout the course, you must achieve an average of at least 70% in your assignments and modules to successfully complete the course. Your final project will cover all the material you have learned. Upon completion, you will receive a voucher from our partner organization to take the ISTQB® Certified Tester Foundation Level 4.0 (CTFL) exam. This includes one attempt at the exam, as well as a preparation day with practice tests conducted by our partner after course completion.
We maintain close contact with our partner organization, thereby enabling continuous monitoring of the quality and learning progress of our participants.
Regardless of when you want to take the ISTQB certification, you will receive a certificate as a software tester from CodeFactory upon successful completion of the course.
